Trimlight is an innovative, patented (# 8,926,118 ) lighting system that allows customers to have permanent, exterior lighting professionally installed on their homes and businesses, eliminating the hassle and worry out of hanging Christmas or holiday lights ever again!

Trimlight has provided bright, beautiful lighting on homes and businesses since January 2011, giving users millions of color changing options and patterns to celebrate any holiday or event. Our proprietary mobile application provides user-friendly functionality giving customers the ability to easily program lighting colors and patterns that are completely customizable to meet any need for any time of year.

How it all started

In 2010 Ryan, our founder, decided he was tired of hanging Christmas lights every year so he set out to install permanent lighting. He researched diligently on how homes are constructed to see where the best place would be to install lights permanently and how best to do it. He knew that compromising the roof or gutters was not the right thing to do so eventually he determined that installing at the fascia line was by far the best option.

After much research Ryan found that any lights or wires that are heavily exposed to the harmful UV rays from the sun will fail relatively quickly and that directing the lights outward will only work for very few applications. He figured out that in order to keep the lights lasting for decades and to meet the life expectancy stated by manufacturers, pointing the lights down was the best design option. Once he determined the best light positioning, he experimented with several options on building materials and found the right shape, raw material type, and size that would seamlessly blend with the architecture but also give the lights the proper installation and ease of maintenance design.

With neighbors soon lining up to get more information, he realized the amazing potential and brought in some of his best friends to help launch Trimlight as a business. As of today Trimlight has grown exponentially with thousands of homes installed along the Wasatch front alone and over 120 dealerships have been established across the U.S. and Canada.

Although Trimlight has seen several adaptations as technology has improved and LEDs become more and more reliable over time, Trimlight continues to innovate and develop new and improved products every year. Trimlight's goal is to light up America and eventually the world with our permanent, programmable lighting that can be customized for every holiday and special occasion all year, every year!
